I followed up on Mark's email today and was able to relocate the flycatcher that raised some concern of a potential Western Flycatcher, (which I do believe it is to be). I just don't know which one. Right now I am leaning towards Cordelleran Flycathcer but I am in no position to make that final call, and it probably will not ever be known for sure which one it is until it is heard. Which is why I posting these photos and typing this message. Permission has been given by the landowner to park at the iron gates and walk on private property to the location on MDC land. It's really not that bad of a walk at all. Cross the bayou and find the service road, and walk it back west until you find a lush green wheat food plot. I sat on the "high ridge" of the food plot and watched to the North where the service road runs alongside the bayou. The bird was working the edge for insects, pausing in between flights and being very cooperative. It usually stayed within 6' off of the ground, but one time it was high up in the trees, but that didn't last very long.

Relevant or not, an out of range Pacific-slope Flycatcher was hanging around Quinta Mazatlan in McAllen, TX this month.

I forgot to say that the two western flycatchers mentioned in my previous post have not been confirmed in MO before.
