Bill,
SLAS calendar is updated.

All,
This is spring break week at slu and we are camping Tuesday-Friday.  If we have cell service I can make small web/calendar changes if needed.  If no cell service I will take care of things when we get back on Friday (or earlier if there is lots of rain).

To St. Louis area birders (and others who may want to join us):

Our next field trip offering is this coming Saturday:

WHAT:     Half-day field trip, until noon

WHEN:     Saturday, March 14 (6 days from now)

WHERE:   Horseshoe Lake, IL. Take I-64/70 across the Poplar Street bridge. Take Exit 6 and turn left onto route 111 heading north. Go about 2 miles to the state park entrance on your left. Meet at the fist parking lot on your right.
MEETING TIME:  8:00 a.m.

TENTATIVE PLAN: We will cover the main part of Horseshoe Lake as well as weather permits, watching for waterfowl, gulls, possibly migrant loons and grebes, and of course all the land birds we can find in the vicinity; this may involve some easy walks, again dependent on weather. Later in the morning we may drive around to the west side of Horseshoe Lake to check that area.

WHO:  Everyone is welcome, whether a member of St. Louis Audubon Society or not.

CONDITIONS:  Please dress appropriately for whatever weather is predicted. At this writing, the forecast is for a temperature range in the 40's with some wind and a probability of some rain (they are calling it 50%). IF THERE IS A MAJOR CHANGE in this forecast to suggest a steady all-morning rain,
I WILL POST AN UPDATE ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY. If you see no update, the trip is a go.

LEADERS:  Myself and possibly other members of the leader group.

Bill Rowe
