First observed on 2 Nov 2019 at Binder Lake by the River Bluffs and Columbia Audubon Societies joint field trip participants. It has been photographed on each of the four days in the same part of Binder Lake, near the mid-section on the point of land south of the boat launch parking lot.

I photographed the Surf Scoter asleep next to a smaller Ruddy duck. Also present today, 5 Nov. were the eared grebe that was also first located on 2 Nov, horned grebe, and numerous other waterfowl. Also a winter wren was along the creek near the train just at the bottom of the steep hill.

Here is my 5 Nov. checklist.

Good BIrding!
