As a heads up for anyone still thinking about going out there; there have not been any reported sightings this morning so far on eBird or the IL facebook groups.

Relocated the Little Stint with a group of birders from IL, MN, and even GA yesterday around 3 pm in the North Globe Unit of Emiquon NWR. Checklist with a photo here: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S58797446
Lots of other shorebirds around including a White-rumped sandpiper, Black-bellied plover and others.
Was good to see an old friend from the Old World...

The Little Stint was seen being view around 6:20PM but then large numbers of the shorebirds appeared to be flushed by something.   No Peregrine seen or any other reason why they would have flushed.   The LStint was not relocated as of 8:00PM on either the north or the south side.   Try again in the AM hopefully a photo as well.

The stint was on the south side 9 AM, on the north side 1 PM.  Tried for the Ruff, shorebirds everywhere but no Ruff.

Good morning,

I have been getting a lot of emails about the Little Stint, and I want to let everyone know that according to the IL Rare Bird Facebook group, the stint was relocated this morning in the same location, but on the south side of the road. Good luck if you are going after it! The Ruff has not been relocated as of yet.

I realized that I hadn't seen any names from MO pop up at the LIST yet, and thought that maybe people had not heard. There is currently an alternate plumage Little Stint in the North Globe area of Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge in IL. It is about a 2.5 hour drive from St Louis, but it is the first LIST in the interior US since 2006. There is also currently a male Ruff in alternate plumage about 8 miles northeast of the LIST at Chautauqua NWR. The Ruff was first reported Thursday near where the stint currently is, but disappeared for a few days and refound where I mentioned above. The stint was found Saturday and has been seen every day since in nearly the same spot.
