The road is currently passable although wet in places all the way to Cora Island Road. There are shorebirds near Orton Road. About 20 Lesser Yellowlegs, two Stilt Sandpipers in breeding plumage, and Least and Pectoral Sandpipers. Where Cora Island Road is flooded there were three Caspian Terns and lots of Pelicans. There were a few with the brown heads of juveniles including one that appeared to be following an adult about. No way to tell if they are migrants. Lots of mixed swallows one the wires.
