Also they have started pumping out the south end of Horseshoe Lake in Granite City Illinois.  There may be shorebird habitat there in a few days.

CASPIAN TERNS and another sterna tern photos taken by staff today.

Looks to be some shoreline appearing too. Shorebird migration has started
at the Lakeshore in N. IL and IN (Willets, pects, peeps, Semi-plover)
So fall migration has begun.

Audubon Center to open July 8 last time I looked on Facebook page.
