Had a nice walk at the park after last night’s heavy rain. The Little Blue River was running swift and full through the park. Best birding was along the gravel road that goes off the trail on the east side: Yellow-breasted Chat, Common Yellowthroat, Blue-headed and White-eyed Vireos, Field Sparrows, Eastern Towhees, Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Swainson’s Thrush. Birds found through the rest of the park: Great-crested Flycatchers, Red-eyed and Yellow-throated Vireos, Belted Kingfisher, House Wren, Northern Parulas and Louisiana Waterthrush.
