Subject: Lake Remembrance CA Waterfowl

Four of us took advantage of a “decent” winter day to do some birding. Spots visited were Blue Springs Lake, Burr Oak Woods CA and Lake Remembrance CA. Highlight of the morning was 13 species of waterfowl at Lake Remembrance, including Canvasbacks, Redheads, Scaup, Am Wigeon, Northern Shovelers, Blue-winged Teal
and a Wood Duck pair. The open water was close to the parking lot so got great looks with just binoculars. Quite a sight for eyes anxious to see some new birds!
