Dear colleagues

Thanks to generous donations from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) and a number of local partners, Play the Game can for the first time take its international conference to the USA.

From 13-16 October, Play the Game 2019 will gather 3-400 athletes, sports officials, governments, academics, journalists, industry official and other stakeholders in Colorado Springs, for the 11th edition of a conference that has more than 20 years history as a cutting edge forum for independent and fact-based sports debate.

As in previous years, it is a pleasure to share our Call for Papers with a description of seven main focus areas under the headline "Athlete power on the rise".

Please note that the abstract/storyline submission is not for academics only, but also for journalists and other groups that have important stories to share.

We hope many of you will bring your expertise, experiences and viewpoints to Play the Game 2019. Don't hesitate to contact us with any proposals or queries you may have.

Best regards / Bedste hilsner
