Okay, this is not about Missouri birding, but there's a nature resource I like to share with wildlife enthusiasts.
You can watch live sunrise and sunset safaris daily at https://wildearth.tv/safarilive/ and their YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV6HJBZD_hZcIX9JVJ3dCXQ
Live webcams are mounted on Land Rovers, with professional guides interpreting 3-hour game drives in South Africa's Sabi Sand and Kenya's Maasai Mara reserves. Since it's live and unscripted, you never know what you'll see--much like birding. In fact, some viewers have well over 200 African birds on their vicarious lists. Plus, it's interactive: guides answer questions submitted via Twitter or YouTube chat stream.
It may help you cope with winter days when the weather is just too brutal to go birding. It also should help keep your Africa jones at bay for awhile. Caution: may be habit forming!
Great pix, Mike! Can we go back?
