You can go here to setup eBird alerts:
https://ebird.org/alerts
It’s pretty self-explanatory. Just enter the county, state or country that you want to receive alerts for and the frequency either hourly or daily.
You’ll also need a free eBird account. There’s a “Create account” button here:

I agree that the different sources make for some degree of difficulty during certain seasons. I think volunteers might be the solution (if there isn't any code that could be written)? I was also curious about setting up ebird rare bird alerts. Several of you mentioned that in this thread. Could you explain and provide details on how to set that up please?
Thanks

Thank you, Kevin. That is a fine altruistic offer and a very good start to better cross communication.

Maybe we get a volunteer or volunteers who are users of the different venues to crosspost pertinent information. Personally, if I see a post on MOBIRDS that might be of interest to Columbia birders, I crosspost it to the Columbia Adubon Society Facebook Group. I could monitor the Missouri Rare Bird Alert Group on Facebook and crosspost to MOBIRDS, but I think it would be best to have more than one set of "eyes" on the venues.

I get the eBird rare bird alert daily. May have to switch to hourly for migration season. Still, that does not address my basic query: How do we improve cross venue communications?

Hi all,
I agree with Shelly. EBird is the most efficient information delivery system currently available. Simply set up alerts for Needs and Rarities Alerts Hourly, and sightings are in your inbox within one hour!
I’m helping Jared Gorrell with FB Missouri RBA, and get most of my quick info from eBird, and occasionally MoBirds and friends’ texts. Lots happening in SW Missouri these days! Come down and keep this Patagonia Picnic Table Effect going!

I myself have been encouraging folks to enter their sightings on ebird (through public programs and awareness). There have been many that were not aware of ebird.

Thank you all who responded, I had not seen it on Missouri eBird alert, and therefore had no impetus to look at individual entries until it was mentioned on the field trip. ut
My query was not addressed. I'm not seeking the specific information about this or any other sighting. I am asking how do we improve cross venue reporting--facebook, eBird, Mobirds, etc.
