If you want to spend an awe-inspiring 5 minutes, check out this link “The Journey of a Semipalmated Sandpiper”  --- it follows the 11,000 mile, 364 day migration journey of a geo-tagged sandpiper and highlights the importance of the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network (WHSRN) and the many volunteers and non-profits helping the birds along the way.  Rather humbling to contemplate the intricacies and beauty of nature!   And to think that in a short time we will be seeing some of these guys as they wing their way north.  Enjoy.
