Presumably a carbon copy remained in Faber or whatever archives and the Eliot Project will duly process and publish it when they reach the 1940 letters. Ron Schuchard tells a story from the birth (conception?) of the Eliot Project when the Eliot material got extracted from some underground labyrinth in North London which had once been a wartime bunker and had to be wheeled along the long underground tunnels in a fleet of shopping trollies.
