Yesterday I found Bobolinks in the grasses around wetland pools at both the west and the east Zell tracts at Pershing State Park. Marsh Wrens and Sedge Wrens at both places also. Red-shouldered Hawks calling at both too. A pair of agitated Bell's Vireo at the east location, and Blue Grosbeak pair with couple fledglings on the west side. Observed a juvenile Field Sparrow on the east side. Brood of young Turkeys along the Hyw and nervous Bobwhite calls along the mowed path, probably indicating young chicks in the grass. Interesting little outing!
Have not seen the White-winged Dove since last update.
