Took a quick sache on the auto tour route around lunch time yesterday on my way back to southeast Missouri. Here is a quick list of my findings:
Bald Eagle on nests
Large number and variety waterfowl (green wing teal, blue wing teal, widgeon, gadwall, mallard, shoveler, bufflehead lesser scaup, Ruddy duck, hooded merganser, Canada geese, trumpeter swan & one beautiful full plumage cinnamon teal Drake)
White Pelicans
Wilson snip
Killdeer
Pectoral sandpiper
Greater Yellowlegs
Red wing black bird
Great trailed Grackle
Red tailed hawk
American coot
Turkey vulture
