Dave Rogles and Tom Bormann have a Sprague’s Pipit amongst the fifty plus Am. Pipits on Glacial Sand Rd. in Old Monroe, MO. Take Hwy. 79 north to Ketteman Rd. Turn right on Glacial Sand Rd. These birds are on the sod farms. Dave told me that the workers are in the fields and that the birds are moving around. He identified the Sprague’s in flight and when it landed.
Several years ago Josh Uffmann reported a couple hundred Am. Pipits on these sod farms.
