This morning, I observed seven avocets, mixed with Black-necked Stilts, at the east end of Pool 13 at Otter Slough. They were easily observed from the gravel road on the south side of the pool. Also, there were Black and Caspian Terns foraging over Cypress Lake nearby. A very nice array of birds!
