The best time is to arrive is about 6 am on the spur in Pool 15. Walk to the blind then go slightly past it and turn right. Go through the weeds straight out to the edge of dry mud. You can then turn left and walk all the way down and around the east point and back up to the other side of the blind and find one of the four wheeler tracts though the weeds and walk back to the two truck tracks that are an easy walk back to the truck. It has been about 67 deg F about that time of day. The sun will peek over the bluffs about 6:30 am depending on the clouds. By 7:30 or 8:00 it is up to 75 -80 deg. F. I haven’t had much trouble with insects and the weather is like you are on a coral beach in Belize.
