Paul McKenzie located a small flock of Yellow-headed Blackbirds on the south side of the first building on the Beef Farm road off of E. Sugar Grove Road. This is the road that goes south across the whole area and ends up at the headquarters areas near KOMU Radio Tower. Paul counted 8 birds. Pictures are on eBird. Wait by the southwest end of the barn until you see them hop us on the pen rails. Also there was one bobolink in the field to the south of the building.

From US 63 turn onto New Haven Road and immediately go south on Lenoir Street. Turn left on Roosevelt Ave which connects with E. Sugar Grove Lane. Go past the R-i Lake and go another 1/3 mile and turn south onto the Beef Farm area. There is a pile of concrete rubble and a long steel barn. On the south side of the bird you can see along an open walkway between the steel pipe pens and the pasture fence. The bird hop up on the pen and fence. Just wait a few minutes and you will see them. It is probably best not to enter the corral areas.
