I heard and saw the season's first Cedar Waxwings in our mulberry trees this afternoon. I can't see any ripe berries yet, but the birds always start checking a little early.

Mulberries are a bit messy, but worth it for the waxwings, mockingbirds, thrashers, and catbirds they bring to the yard.
