Otter Slough (Stoddard County) today was pretty quiet.  Highlights were ruby-crowned kinglets singing, a handful of greater yellow-legs, and many ruddy ducks and shovelers.  One small flock of about 30 snow geese also made an appearance.  The ponds near the headquarters where we usually see shorebirds were still drained and dry—and empty.
