Elizabeth Jennings became a friend of the wealthy arts patron Helen Sutherland (of 'Pitmen Painters' renown) and was a house guest of Helen's at her English Lake District country house, Cockley Moor, overlooking  Ullswater (as was Kathleen Raine, earlier, during World War II along with Eliot's great friend Michael Roberts and his wife Janet (Adam Smith)
