Here is the link to the reporting site. I did not realize yesterdaywhen I saw the birds  that the color and placements of the bands (right or left leg) are helpful to the USFWS

Saw them again this morning about 9 am. They were near Cemetery Lane and Bond Rd, then flew west across the dike into mud flats. They kept moving west and crossed the Missouri state line in the mud flats. Observed by several parties.

The four juv Whooping Cranes were still in the same general area as described by Pat at 4:30pm today. Pictures are posted with eBird report.  Thank you Pat for the heads up!

I'll be up there tomorrow morning.  Wish they'd walk west a little way and be in Missouri!

Mary Ann Auer and I refound the previously reported 4 immature Whooping Cranes this afternoon.  They were east of Bond Rd and north of Cemetery Rd on Kaskaskia Island.  Picture on ebird.  We also had numerous Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, American Kestrel, and a flock of America Pipit, both hearing and seeing them.  The area is obviously recovering from being flooded.
