The 6 Black-bellied whistling ducks have jumped the four lane highway (Kingshighway) and are now south of the Cape Girardeau Conservation Campus in a pond that is part of Cape’s South County Park. Good news is you can still drive around the pond and observe the ducks from the seat of your vehicle. The ducks were swimming in the pond near the dam (south side of pond) when I saw them around 5pm Tuesday evening.
