Birders and Wildlife Viewers:

Andy Raedeke and Brad Jacobs are looking for generalist birders and wildlife viewers-non-professionals and non-official organizational leaders-to help develop a national birder survey. Columbia was selected as one of twelve sites across the nation to host a workshop to learn what state and federal agencies as well as conservation organizations can do to provide better birding and wildlife viewing opportunities.

The results of the workshop will be used to develop a national birder survey. Ultimately, this information will help agencies and conservation organizations better serve birders and other wildlife viewers. The workshop will be conducted by a social scientist from the United States Geological (USGS) Science Center in Fort Collins, CO with assistance from a Missouri Department of Conservation social scientist.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in this workshop. An URL link to register is below. We also have included some workshop details below.

This workshop is organized by one of the four main North American Bird Conservation Initiative's (NABCI) partners and authors of the North American Waterfowl Management Plan.
