Call for Papers

South Central Modern Language Association (SCMLA) 72nd Annual Conference
October 31 – November 3, 2015
Nashville, TN

Regular Session Section: GERMAN WOMEN WRITERS

Topic: OPEN

This panel invites submissions all topics related to Germanophone women’s
writing. While we particularly welcome papers on the conference theme
investigating music, musicality, and sound inherent in texts by female
authors, this panel is interested in other papers, too, that critically
examine the literary works by German/Austrian/Swiss women writers without
restrictions in period, genre, theoretical, or methodological framework,
encouraging submissions from literary scholars, linguists, and language
pedagogues.

Please submit a 250-word abstract and a short biographical note by April
15, 2015 to Erika Berroth ([log in to unmask]) and Cindy
Walter-Gensler ([log in to unmask]). Please include your name,
institutional affiliation, email address, and any audio-visual requirements
for the presentation.
