Birded 4 Rivers Conservation Area early this afternoon. Spotted 17 Trumpeter Swans in Unit 3. They were feeding about 400 yards east of the marsh boardwalk. Another highlight was a bald eagle sitting on a nest just outside of the conservation area's boundary.
the nest is due west of pool 2B. (I think that's the first pool past the entrance. Counted 12 bald eagles including 7 that were 1st, 2nd and 3rd year birds.
Turtles are out sunning. Spring is surely here.
