Made a quick trip to Riverlands about 10:30 a.m. today. Found one first winter Lesser Black-backed Gull, one first winter Thayer's gull at the spillway. On dam wall at Melvin Price Dam (seen from parking lot), found one juvenile Iceland Gull.
Along Confluence Road at first 90 degree turn found a flock of about 150 Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs. I saw about three dozen longspurs close to the road.
