SCENARIO: New Issue Online and Call for Papers

We are proud to announce the 16th issue of SCENARIO (http://research.ucc.ie/scenario/current), the bilingual online journal of Drama and Theatre in Second and Foreign Language Education.

 

Born out of the international SCENARIO FORUM conference on Performative Teaching, Learning and Research, which took place at University College Cork, Ireland, from 29th May to 1st June 2014, this special edition has been thematically extended. The issue includes the following contributions as well as a short film and a conference report:

 

°        Morgan Koerner, Beyond Drama: Postdramatic theater in upper level, performance-oriented foreign language, literature and culture courses.

°        Deborah Newton, Shifting Perspectives and Collapsing Binaries: Critical Performative Pedagogy in the Performance Studies Classroom.

°        Silja Weber, Performing a conference: SCENARIO Forum 2014. (Conference Report)

 

Teachers, scholars, theatre professionals, drama educators, and drama education researchers involved with the teaching and learning of second and foreign languages are invited to submit papers to SCENARIO. Contributors will shape and intensify the debate around the role of drama and theatre in the teaching and learning of second and foreign languages, literatures, and cultures.

 

Contributions for Volume IX, Issue 2/2015 should be submitted by July 15th, 2015 and contributions for Volume X, Issue 1/2016 by January 15th, 2016. For more information please consult SCENARIO’s website: http://scenario.ucc.ie.
