I have seen plenty of White-Throated, some White-crowned, American Tree, And Song. Only one or two Harris and Fox. Not much else. The numbers seem way down even though my birding is up significantly.

Friends and fellow birders.

Myself as well as other birders in the greater Rolla area are concerned over the low number of sparrows we are seeing in the Ozarks this winter. There could be many reasons why the numbers are low but most of us think that the weather patterns and warmer weather north of us has impacted migration.

We have absolutely no scientific proof for this hypothesis but the low number of sparrows is alarming. Any thoughts?
