The Thursday group found at least one Great-tailed Grackle at Bryan Island Stables on Missouri Bottom Road.  There was a large flock of mixed blackbirds and starlings at Church and Dwyer.  It included a good number of Rusty Blackbirds.  There were at least a half dozen Horned Grebes at Riverlands and three at Creve Coeur Lake.  All three Merganser species were present at Riverlands.  Common Mergansers were present in good numbers.  There was no sign of the Black Scoter.
