the cold front brought in a few thousand ducks. gadwall and lesser scaup were the predominant species. there were also good numbers of shovelers and green-winged teal.
other species included mallard, american wigeon, northern pintail, ring-necked, redhead, bufflehead, ruddies and 1 each of canvasback and hooded merganser. a few coots
were in the rafts along with pied-bill and horned grebes. only gulls were a couple of franklin's and a few ring-billeds. also saw a bald eagle flying over the lake.
