I birded the western edge of Thomas Hill Reservoir (THR), Golden Ave. gravel road between the two arms of the lake and T Highway across both arms of THR for a few hours yesterday. Time was short and it got dark very early. 28 species total with a few good birds: 4 Horned Grebe 2 Bald Eagles - a pair sitting on their big nest on Golden Ave. 100 Bonaparte's Gulls 4 Red-headed Woodpeckers 50 Cedar Waxwings 3 Harris's Sparrows - in bushes in small stream crossing areas on Golden Ave. FOY 45 House Finches - sitting on power lines at intersection of Golden Ave and T Highway.
