Besides seeing 3 or 4 Nelson's sparrows (and probably more not seen, or
seen only in flight), there were at least 10 sedge wrens and perhaps 40
marsh wrens in the area. Also heard many soras (but none seen). The habitat
is really good east of Heron pond. On the pond itself there were two lesser
and two greater yellowlegs, and the usual number of killdeer. A harrier was
cruising the area.
