Todd Cannon, a cyclist in southeastern Missouri, sent me photos of a BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK he found and photographed on 6 July in Scott County. The duck has been hanging around a drainage ditch that parallels county Hwy 201, just west of Hwy 55/Scott City in Scott Co. It was present still as of today, so, apparently, it likes where it has settled.
