Neosho birding friends reported some 100 +
White-faced Ibis at Schell-Osage, Vernon County.
Unfortunately this news is a couple of weeks old.
That number is the highest concentration for this
species that I am aware of in Missouri.
Our computer glitched, so late news.

Common Nighthawks have successfully avoided me
all this spring.  I did hear a Chuck here in the Joplin
neighborhood just a bit ago.

A much better place for a wind farm in north MO.
would be up by Trenton, Grundy County, IMO.  Wide
open spaces, few trees, and just 80 or so miles from
KC.  Not much there, as our Chillicothe birding friends
would verify.
