CINNAMON TEAL (CITE) Riverlands MBS, St. Charles co.
First found by Lane Richter and Matthew Magoc across
from Heron Pond in Ellis Bay.

Then it flew over to the
marsh along the gravel road to the MP Dam (MO approach)
Please do NOT walk into this field to get better looks as it is
a restricted area AND the birds are flushing easily.
BTW, in this marsh the bird was acting in a defensive mode
toward the male BWTEs. There was a female teal near him
but do not know if it was a BWTE or CITE as she was folded
up asleep.

Then the birds flew out of that marsh into the pool by the large
woodchip pile next to the gate for the Confluence Park entrance.
Good close views and photos were had.
Don't know where the bird went to after that.

Good chasing,
Charlene Malone
St. Louis co.
