First of the season birds for Carondelet Park in St. Louis City on 
4/1/14: Black-throated Green Warbler (see photo below), Chimney Swift, 
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Chipping Sparrows, Field Sparrow, Winter Wren, 
Hermit Thrush. Also, within the last week, other FOS birds have been 
coming through in big numbers: Eastern Phoebes, Brown Thrashers and 
Eastern Towhees. The number of Fox Sparrows, Golden-crowned Kinglets, 
Brown Creepers and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers have been increasing.  The 
Great Horned Owls have a fledgling that has been roaming the trees since 
March 22.
