First the warning:
Riverlands Way will be closed from 7 AM - 11 AM for a run on Sat. 3/22.
They will have Red School Road open at the gate to get to the MP Dam.
Seems like the run route will also be using Hwy 67 and go over the Clark
Bridge,
so could be difficult to maneuver in this area in the AM.

Bird wise: Funky weather = GOOD birds
RMBS, St. Charles co, 3/21/14
Yes the temps were warm (until sunset..brrr!) but winds made viewing
rough (!!)
- SIX species of gulls: GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL, GLAUCOUS, LESSER BLACK-
BACKED, Bonaparte's, Ring-billed, and Herring. (photos of GBBG, LBBG & GLGU)
One very interesting whitish gull with all black bill and bleached out.
wish we got a photo but winds were wild.

- Five shorebird species: Pects, Lesser Yellowlegs, Snipe, Golden
Plovers, Killdeer.
Found shorebirds in Pintail Marsh, pools east of Two Pecan and the
burned areas
for the plovers.
Mudflats starting to appear in Ellis Bay and Alton Lake.
This kinda' weather seems good for a Whimbrel or Ruff to dip in.

- Plenty of ducks to look through. Ran out of light and winds did not help.
Good scoter weather maybe.

Ran out of time/light, no telling what might have been in the Alton
Lake/Linc. Shields area. Seems the gulls were going over there at the
end of the day.

Nitie-nite......zzzzzz
