Wow! I hope they all appreciated what a unique sighting they got to experience. I still remember going out on a first field trip with one of my classes and getting superb views of a Lapland Longspur. I reminded them several times how lucky they were!

Subject: Snow Buntings - Thousand Hills State Park (Adair Co.)

Greetings!

This morning I took my ornithology class to Thousand Hills State Park (Adair Co.). We saw 2 SNOW BUNTINGS fly from the point on the west side of the lake.  The birds flew south over the lake and out of sight.  We did not see them again.

Thanks,

Jason
