Viewing of numerous Bald Eagles from Bush Landing Road, straight south out of Hartsburg, MO (in southern Boone County) is highly likely for the next few days.  A nearby sausage making operation dumps hog carcasses, etc. in the fields near the end of Bush Landing Road.  As many as 40 Eagles have been seen in the area in past years during the butchering period.  Coyotes and other scavengers enjoy this buffet as well; so it doesn’t last long.  Food chain at work!

Good birding,
