Happy New Year!

A fine early morning turned cold very quickly as an Alberta Clipper low-pressure system overtook us. Lake Jacomo is ~60% ice-covered, with the south end of the lake completely frozen. Waterfowl, Great Blue Herons and Bald Eagles were concentrated on the northern open half and are easily viewable from the marina off of Woods Chapel Road and the Jackson County Parks administrative office hillside parking lot on Liggett Rd.

Good Birding,
