I counted the ducks at three Joplin area lagoons
on 12-3-13.  I imagine that they will depart south when
the lagoons freeze over later this week.
Carl Junction lagoon was fogged in.  I didn't have a chance to
return later.  So, just three of four lagoons on the survey.

Canada Goose             120.  Fifty-five of them were a very small form.
They were about 1/2 the size of our "regulars."
A maintenance worker spooked them and the
55 small ones split up as a flock from the large
                                           Canada geese.
