Thanks to all those Mo-Birders who replied to my Hummer/Bee question. I'm putting all replies in a file to check through next summer season. It seems the bees have tapered off a lot recently as we are having some cooler days and nights. We always keep our feeders out until mid-October as we have had Hummers as late as Oct. 15 some years.
Thanks again, I really appreciated all the response to my question. If the same problem pops up next year, I know I'll find a solution in those replies.

PS to: Craig Rickard... thank you for the picture. We have had this scenario also. Sometimes with even more bees, but the Hummer didn't tarry very

We have not had a great number of
Hummingbirds this year but have enjoyed those we've had, until recently (within the last 2 weeks).
We have 4 feeders out, using the recommended 4-2-1 nectar recipe, and the bees ( I think honeybees) have taken over, causing the hummers to shy away from the feeders.
Anyone have a solution to discourage the bees? Don't want to harm them, but just a way to keep them off the feeders.?????
