The Journal of Literature and Trauma Studies ( ) calls for submissions stressing post-war German and European literature, film and drama.

The work of W. G. Sebald already figures prominently, but we welcome submissions that examine among other major concerns, the trauma, evasions and intensities of post-war memory, the haunting presence of the Holocaust, and the role of intellectuals and artists in the Third Reich and the ‘reconstruction’ period.

It is expected that papers dealing with the construction of post-war German cultural memory and identity alongside the construction of memory spaces, monuments and memorials will also play a role in this issue.

Articles should be submitted by December 15, 2013 in electronic format to [log in to unmask]  and [log in to unmask].

Submissions should be in English, between 6000 and 8000 words, and should comply with the submission guidelines published on JLTS website.
