The Thursday group had Common Gallinules at Columbia Bottom CA today.  They were briefly visible from time to time among a row of willows on the right side of Pool 5 off the gravel road near parking lot S.  Otherwise there were a few shorebirds, mostly Killdeer and Solitary Sandpipers with one Yellowlegs and a Semipalmated Sandpiper and lots of herons and egrets.  Small birds were not abundently visible, but the Prothonotories put on a show and the slough and there was a Black-crowned Night Heron there as well.  Riverlands was a very disappointing.  The water is up in both Ellis Bay and the ponds and there were very few birds.
