April 10, 2013 late afternoon
Four of us from the MarshBird monitoring training workshop at the Eagle Bluffs CA headquarters decided to go during the thunderstorm to look for birds that might not like to be flying in the rain, thunder, lightning, and wind, not to mention the cold weather.

Best birds are:
Peregrine Falcon
Hudsonian Godwit
Long-billed Dowitchers
Least Sandpipers
Clay-colored Sparrow

On April 11, 2013 about noon on a quick trip to see what was still around, there was not much beyond the regular species and only about 10% of the shorebirds.

Best birds were:
Two Sandhill Cranes about 100 yards away during marsh bird training session at 10 am.
Golden Eagle flying back and forth along the bluffs
Spotted Sandpiper on a stump in Pool 10.

It is time to visit the area twice a day so nothing slips by!!
