The 13th European Cinema Research Forum invites proposals exploring
any aspect of otherness or 'the Other' in European cinema.
Contributions from the realm of theory or practice are equally welcome.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to, the notion of
otherness in relation to European cinema and:

          genders, sexualities and/or ethnicities
          transcultural/transnational film
          film aesthetics
          film production/technologies
          literary adaptations and/or (re-) staging film in other forms
          film festivals

Proposals may be in the form of an abstract for an individual paper or
a panel suggestion (3x20 minute papers).

Please send abstracts (individual paper max. 200 words; panel max. 400
words) accompanied by a short bio-bibliography (max. 150 words per
