After Birding Kansas today, I took a swing by Smithville Lake for the Northern
Shrike Paul Habiger found the other day. It was in a tree across from the
playground in the Shelter Area of Crow's Creek. It was very cooperative, but
the lighting wasn't great. Here is the best photo I could get.

It's been a great year for Shrikes. 2 Loggerhead and now 2 Northern and it's
only February. :)

Good Birding,
