Most of the WGNSS Thursday birding group went from Faust Park where the Red Crossbills had showed up after an hour or so after our arrival to Broemmelsiek County Park; all got several excellent views of the N Shrike and many photographs were taken as the bird moved from tree to tree.  David B had immediately spotted it from the parking lot beyond the large lot across from the big downhill picnic area.  Many thanks for posting it on MOBIRDS.  The Shrike was certainly far more accessible than last spring's hangouts across the creek from the dog playground and the lake.

Shawn Clubb has a possible adult Northern Shrike at Broemmelsiek County Park in St. Charles County, on the north side of Schwede Road near the astronomy viewing site. Mask does not go above eye, bill is longer and more curved than a Loggerhead.  He saw it about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Broemmelsiek is at the intersection of  Schwede and Wilson roads, off State Road DD in Wentzville.
